Floods can happen anytime, anywhere — to anyone.
An afternoon storm or backed-up storm drains could bring inches of water into your home and cause thousands of dollars in damage to walls, floors and furniture.
If your flood insurance lapses for over 90 days or twice for any length of time, you may need an Elevation Certificate and lose your discounted rate. With changing legislation, grandfathered rates are rising, and a lapse could mean an immediate jump to full-risk pricing. Keep your policy active to avoid costly increases!
Flood risk impacts your insurance costs, especially if FEMA updates your area's Flood Insurance Rate Map. With the Newly Mapped Procedure, you can renew at your previous lower rate for one year before gradual increases of up to 18% annually. This “grandfathering” helps ease the transition to higher rates—stay informed to maximize your savings!
If you live in a high-risk area and have a loan from a federally-regulated or insured lender, you are required to renew your flood insurance. When you purchase a home, you accept liability for any damage—from fire, wind, hail, theft or flooding—that may occur while you live there.

An SR-22 Insurance Certificate, or Financial Responsibility Form, is a vehicle liability insurance document required by some state Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office. The SR-22 insurance is issued in form of a certificate by an insurance company showing proof of liability insurance to the Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV). As required by the state the purpose of the SR-22 is to act as a tracking device. The insurance company that issues the SR-22 filing will notify the state's DMV any time the policy cancels, or is changed. An SR-22 insurance policy is normally required for reinstatement of driving privileges after a driver's license has been suspended or revoked by the state. The requirements for an SR-22 Insurance policy varies by state, visit us at SR-22 Insurance policy by state for more information.
FR-44 also know as a financial responsibility form is similar to an SR-22 that you are required to obtain after certain convictions in order to regain your driving privileges. However, an FR-44 is usually required after a DUI conviction(s) has higher limits than the SR-22.
A non-owner SR-22 Insurance and non-owner FR-44 also known as a named-operator liability policy is insurance on you, the driver, for any vehicles you operate that you do not own. FR-44 and SR-22 Insurance policies work as a secondary insurance coverage for anyone in need of a high liability insurance who does not own a vehicle. This type of liability policy is usually written with a state's minimum coverage limits, except FR-44 Insurance for Florida and Virginia which requires higher limits. For instance, if you were involved in an accident, and you were at fault, the liability insurance would cover only the injury to 3rd parties involved or 3rd parties property damage that occurred as a result of the accident. In order to file a claim for the non-owner insurance, you must have exhausted the primary insurance coverage. A non-owners policy does not offer comprehensive and collision coverage for the vehicle you are driving.
A Hardship License is a restricted driver's license available to drivers who's driving privileges are revoked for a serious driving violation.
You will need to provide your case number to your car insurance carrier to obtain and properly file an FR-44. Having your Florida DUI conviction date on hand will also be helpful.
If you were convicted of a Florida DUI, maimed while driving under the influence, or driving with a suspended license, the courts will require FR-44 car insurance for monitoring purposes. The law requires the insurance company to notify the authorities if you make any late payments, if there is a lapse in your policy, and if you switch auto insurance providers.
As long as your insurance policy is active, your FR-44 should remain valid. If you fail to maintain the appropriate filing your driving privileges will most likely be suspended.
If your driver's license has been or was suspended, then yes, you'll most likely need one. You are required to provide an SR-22 in order to get your license back.
Because your license was suspended, you will need to provide a SR-22 to prove you have insurance. Also, most insurance companies do not offer SR-22 insurance. However, there are some that do and we will help you find them.
Typically a minimum of 3 years, depending on your state's requirements; this will be outlined in your court documents.
Even though you don't own a vehicle you may still be required to carry an SR22. This is called a non-owners SR22 insurance policy. The vehicle isn't covered by the SR22 or the non-owners policy. This type of insurance policy only covers liability up to the limits purchased. It does not cover the vehicle that you are driving, only the liability that you the driver may cause if you are involved in an accident with another motorist or cause property damage.
The penalties for driving without SR22 insurance definitely vary from state to state, but some penalties that could be imposed are: 1) Your vehicle getting impounded and your vehicle tags seized. 2) Additional and heavier fines may be imposed. 3) Your license will be suspended for a longer period of time
